The Sweet Olive Soap Project created my strong desire to promote the health aspects of my favorite region and culture. My grandma Anna Mei was a soap maker, owned her own business, and shared her skills with me in countless summer afternoons. I have a feeling and I can do it too. I spent nearly two decades trying her recipes and inventing more of my own recipes along the way. I am convinced that continuing the family tradition is my call. Soap Works was born in the fall of 2007. Using the basic techniques passed down by her grandmother, I continued to use the already prepared natural nourishing and nourishing food recipes to start crafting each batch of cold process soap from scratch. Wherever possible, ingredients are purchased locally, and I am honored to work with all environmentally responsible businesses and individuals in Louisiana to bring you a true family bathroom and physical experience.
